Terms of Service & Community Guidelines

1. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Services.
• You agree to give accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts on someone else's behalf without permission.

2. Community Guidelines: zero tolerance

Tagpuan is a community for Filipinos and friends of the community. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, share or send content that:

• sexually exploits or endangers children, or is sexually explicit or pornographic;
• is hateful, harassing, bullying, threatening or violent, or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics;
• promotes self-harm, terrorism, violent extremism or illegal activity, including the sale of drugs or weapons;
• is spam, a scam, misleading, or impersonates another person or organization;
• shares someone else's private information without permission;
• infringes copyrights, trademarks or other rights.

3. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• You can report any post, comment, message, event or user with the in-app Report button, and block any user so they can no longer contact you.
• Users can also report concerns by emailing info@rooje.io.
• We review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, which may include removing the content and suspending or permanently banning the user who posted it.
• We may filter, remove or restrict content and accounts at our discretion to protect the community, and we report illegal content to law enforcement where required.

4. Meetups and events

Meetups and events are organized by users, not by Rooje. Use good judgment: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and report anything that makes you feel unsafe. Rooje does not screen users or events and is not responsible for the conduct of any user online or offline.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. You give Rooje a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute your content only as needed to operate and improve the Services. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already shared or as required by law.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services: no hacking, scraping, reverse engineering, automated access, interfering with the Services, or using them for unlawful purposes.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the community or comply with the law.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rooje LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any user, and Rooje's total liability for any claim will not exceed USD $100.

9. App store terms

If you download Tagpuan from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store's terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the app or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms for apps downloaded from the App Store.

10. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms; we will change the date above and notify you of significant changes. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
